I'm a certified floral designer with a design degree from Parsons School of Design in NYC. After years of working as a floral designer, I started TerraSphere in my Brooklyn apartment in 2014, originally making terrariums. Along the way, I fell for preserved moss — the same calm, natural texture I loved working with as a florist, but without the watering schedules, sunlight requirements, or upkeep that living plants and terrariums demand.

Today, I handcraft preserved moss and driftwood centerpieces designed to feel like a piece of nature paused in time. Each piece starts as real, natural moss that I source ethically, then goes through a careful preservation process that locks in its soft texture and rich color — no water, no sunlight, no trimming, just lasting beauty.

What we make

Every piece that leaves our workshop is built by hand, one at a time. I pair ethically sourced preserved moss with authentic Indonesian teak wood bowls, driftwood, raw crystals, and organic textures to create centerpieces that feel more like small sculptures than décor. My background in floral design shapes every arrangement — the same eye for balance, texture, and composition I brought to fresh flowers now goes into moss and wood. Whether it's a moss bowl for a coffee table, a statement piece for an entryway, or a custom design built around your space, the goal is the same: something that brings a little stillness into a busy day.

Our pieces have found homes in living rooms, offices, spas, and reception areas across the country — anywhere someone wants a moment of calm without adding a chore to their to-do list.

TerraSphere is still a small, hands-on operation — over a decade after that first terrarium in my Brooklyn apartment. From sourcing moss responsibly to selecting each authentic teak bowl, every material and every piece is chosen with care. I personally inspect every centerpiece before it ships, because I want what arrives at your door to look exactly as good as what left my hands.
